Nominator's project description
| Prof. Dr. Mathew Penrose from University of Bath, United Kingdom Professor Mathew Penrose is an internationally outstanding probabilist, mostly working on stochastic geometry and random graphs. He is highly respected for his ability to tackle and solve notoriously difficult and deep probabilistic problems. An example is his much celebrated analysis of the famous minimal spanning tree and his discovery of the principle of stabilization for capturing dependencies in spatial stochastic systems. During his stay in Germany he continues his work on limit theorems in stochastic geometry and on covariance inequalities for Poisson processes. |
